In a two week period, I was tasked with creating a flat pak lamp. in these two weeks I designed and fabricated the Armadilluz lamp. The name armadilluz comes from the Spanish word armadillo due to its form and the Spanish word for light: la luz.
First, I had to iterate on physical models. Once I found a form I was satisfied with, I developed it further. A challenge i came across was creating a central hub for the main parts of my design to assemble to. Once this challenge was conquered, I completed the armazilluz. This lamp is manufactured using paper cut by a laser cutter, and assembled by hand with no fasteners
